Updated IONIQ 5 adds new trim levels and colours

Hyundai has announced details of its updated IONIQ 5 which comes with styling updates, new batteries and additional trim levels.

Adding to the previous trim options – Premium and Ultimate – a new Advance trim provides an entry point to the model range, while the N Line and N Line S offer a more sport-focused option for drivers.

The new IONIQ 5 also introduces two additional colours, Meta Blue Pearl and Ultimate Red Metallic, so drivers can choose from 11 different shades for the latest model.

Battery packs are also updated, with Long Range 84kWh and Standard Range 63kWh options.

Depending on specification chosen, including rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, the new IONIQ 5 can cover a claimed 273-354 miles on a single charge.

The model line-up starts with the Advance Standard Range 63kWh model, which includes redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, body coloured electric door mirrors, leather steering wheel, heated front seats, and climate control. Drivers can upgrade to the Long Range 84kWh rear-wheel drive powertrain.

The next level up is the Premium Standard Range 63kWh rear-wheel-drive model, which adds collision warning features, hands-free tailgate opening, rear door blinds, and electric front seats.

The Ultimate trim level features 20-inch alloy wheels, a BOSE Premium Audio speaker system, laminated glazing and leather seats. The Ultimate comes in rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive formats.

Sporty N-Line models are offered with the 84kWh battery and include privacy glass, special design features and 20-inch alloy wheels. The N Line can also be specified in rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive, which includes a more powerful 325PS motor.

The N Line S features the long-range 84kWh battery, all-wheel-drive, Alcantara seating, a BOSE sound system, and sunroof.

All models feature a standard battery heating system, battery pre-conditioning and heat pump and are now available to lease from Gateway2Lease.

The new IONIQ 5 also comes with a 10-year subscription to Hyundai’s connected app, which provides online voice recognition, routing, and over-the-air updates to vehicle systems.

Company car tax on the newly updated IONIQ 5 starts from £174 a year, making the Hyundai an attractive choice for business users.
