New Skoda Superb Sportline joins the lineup

In all fairness, you probably don’t need an excuse to make a sensible decision. Leasing your car is already one of the most sensible decisions you’ll make, and leasing a practical, well-equipped, comfortable, and reliable car isn’t exactly a reckless choice either. But just in case you do need an extra excuse, the new Skoda Superb Sportline is a pretty good one.
Skoda has now confirmed final pricing and specification for the all-new Superb SportLine, the latest addition to the brand’s award-winning hatchback and estate lineup.
The new Skoda Superb has actually just secured a key category win in the annual UK Car of the Year Awards, reaffirming it as the benchmark car in its segment.
The UK Car of the Year judging panel features a host of established and experienced names from across the UK motoring media, including in-house journalists from Top Gear and Auto Express, along with high profile freelance experts. The collective wisdom of the panel unanimously placed the new Superb at the top of the Family Car category – an award that adds to an already impressive list of silverware that includes, Best Estate (2024 Auto Express Awards), Best Estate (2025 Carbuyer Awards), and Comfortable Cruiser of the Year (Carwow). It also wouldn’t come as a huge surprise to see the Skoda Superb voted overall UK Car of the Year when the final results are revealed on 6 March.
And the introduction of the new Sportline version isn’t going to do the Superb any harm in the popularity stakes.
Sitting in the range between the existing SE L and L&K models, the new Superb SportLine combines striking looks with exceptional practicality, and agile driving dynamics. It also comes with a generous equipment list and unique design features as standard too.
Design features define new Superb SportLine
The all-new Superb SportLine is instantly identifiable as the ‘sporty’ version thanks to its gloss black detailing on the front grille surround, window frames and door mirrors. Both bumpers, which are unique to the SportLine, also feature stylish, gloss black inserts. Estate versions add black roof rails to the design package while hatchback models feature a subtle gloss black strip on the tailgate diffuser. Both versions enhance the sporty feel with 19-inch Torcular polished black alloy wheels, bespoke SportLine badging on the front wings, and black Skoda lettering on the tailgate.
The sporty nature of the new addition to the Superb range is equally evident on the inside too. The new Skoda Superb SportLine features a unique Design Selection as standard, along with a host of additional equipment designed to enhance its dynamic feel.
New front sport seats are the most advanced to be offered in a Superb SportLine model, boasting an integrated headrest, electric controls, and manually adjustable seat length. To ensure you’re always at maximum comfort levels, both front seats also feature heating and massage functions as standard. The Sportline touches can also be seen in the black headlining, three-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and aluminium pedal covers. Fully adjustable ambient lighting is also included as standard.
To ensure that the new Superb SportLine model isn’t all mouth and no trousers, Skoda’s engineers have been busy developing a suitably sporty platform to match the looks.

Say hello to a more dynamic chassis
The new Sportline model features a specially developed sports chassis that sits 15mm lower compared to the other models in the range. The agility and dynamic feel necessary for a truly sporty model isn’t just relying on the chassis either. Progressive steering, which delivers a more agile, dynamic feel at speed, is also fitted as standard to all SportLine models, along with DCC dynamic chassis control plus.
Depending on your engine choice, you may well come to appreciate the sporty feel and added control too. The new Skoda Superb SportLine model is offered with no fewer than six different engine and transmission options.
The petrol line-up alone consists of three powertrains. Entry-level versions are fitted with a 150bhp, 1.5 TSI engine, or you can choose from two 2.0 TSI models offering either 204bhp or 265bhp. All three petrol powertrains feature a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard. The more powerful 265bhp option also adds 4x4 all-wheel drive.
Those who prefer a diesel can choose one of the two 2.0 TDI engine options with outputs of 150bhp or 193bhp. Like the petrol powertrains, both feature the seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard with the higher output engine also featuring 4x4.
The powertrain lineup is completed by the new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drivetrain option for an impressive combination of economy and power – although only if you opt for the estate version. The Superb SportLine iV version combines the 1.5 TSI petrol engine with a 110kW electric motor and a six-speed DSG gearbox. The electricity comes from a 25.7kWh battery located at the rear of the estate version, and the overall result is a healthy 200bhp and an all-electric driving range of 79 miles.
And if that’s all the excuse you need to lease one, you’ll be pleased to hear that the new Skoda Superb SportLine range is available to order on a leasing deal right now.
