New GWM Ora line up announced

If you’ve been paying attention while you drive around you may have noticed a whole load of new cars appearing that you’ve never heard of before.
It’s a result of the much-anticipated expansion of the Chinese car industry into European markets. Regular readers will be aware that we’ve recently brought you up to speed with the likes of Jaecoo and Omoda, and now we can bring you the lowdown on the updated GWM Ora 3 lineup for 2025.
Having said that, this isn’t actually a new addition to the UK in the strictest sense. We’ve been offering our customers some great lease deals on the GWM Ora 3 for a while now.
GWM first appeared a couple of years ago when it introduced the curiously named “Funky Cat” to European drivers. The funky name – pun not intended - may have been dropped in favour of the more sensible, Ora 3, but the essence of an affordable city EV with cute, retro-futuristic styling remains.
And along with the contemporary styling, generous equipment levels, and surprisingly low prices, there is now a new lineup with new features, new prices, and a whole new range-topping model to choose from.
The updated all-electric GWM ORA 03 range starts with the ‘Pure’ variant.
The entry-level ‘Pure’ model is powered by a 48-kWh battery that gives you a range of around 190 miles on a single charge. That’s more than enough for a few days’ worth of average commuting plus a couple of shopping/leisure journeys before you have to think about topping up the battery.
In terms of equipment, entry-level ‘Pure’ models boast an impressive list of features too. You might expect the 10.25-inch multimedia infotainment screen, smartphone connectivity, satellite navigation, wireless phone charging, and Bluetooth compatibility, but the list of standard equipment doesn’t stop there.
You also get 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, integrated rear light bar, a 360-degree camera system, rear parking camera and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and start, a facial recognition system, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Standard safety systems include Lane Keep assist, Lane departure warning, Intelligent evade, High beam assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Auto emergency braking with pedestrian & cyclist detection, Blind Spot Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control. It even comes with a coveted Five-Star Euro NCAP rating.
If you’re sufficiently greedy to not be satisfied with all of the above, you should probably think about levelling-up in the new Ora 3 range.
Next up is the Ora 3 Pro
The next model in the revised line-up is the (now) mid-range, ‘Pro’ trim-level, which boasts all the same features as the ‘Pure’ variant but with a few added extras to entice you.
You get a larger 63 kWh battery that increases the driving range to around 260 miles so you can go even further between charges. The Ora 3 ‘Pro’ trim-level also adds heated front seats with leatherette upholstery, auto parking assist, auto reversing, and front parking sensor to the list of standard equipment.

New GT model
Those two trim options already give you a hugely impressive list of features that you may not expect to find in an affordable city car, let alone an all-electric one. Not that this fact has prevented GWM from introducing a whole new version to complete the updated range. The GWM Ora 3 is now available as a new range-topping variant for those who are looking for a bit more from their next lease car, and the brand-new ‘GT’ trim offers exactly that.
The new Ora 3 ‘GT’ trim tops the updated range, based on the more powerful 63kWh powertrain and finished with distinctive exterior and interior GT styling elements.
On the outside, ‘GT’ variants benefit from unique 18-inch GT Diamond Turned alloy wheels that feature red detailing to match with the red brake callipers. The exterior body kit also includes wheel arch extensions, front bumper garnish, and sportier styling for the front and rear bumpers. The sporty new look is completed by the rear roof-mounted spoiler featuring GT emblem and unique styling.
The updated interior complements the new GT styling, adding sporty red seat belts, GT embossed insignia in the front headrests, numerous red styling elements, and ventilated and massaging front seats. Additional features also include a Panoramic Sunroof, Launch Control, and a heat pump for improved battery management.
The new GWM Ora 3 range went live for pre-orders at the end of January, with the first customer deliveries expected in March.
