Electric Vehicles  New Launches

Order books are open for the facelifted Kia EV6, the brand’s pioneering electric crossover.

The new model comes with a range of up to 361 miles and is offered with the same three specification levels of other electric models from Kia, the EV3 and EV9.

The range starts with the EV6 Air and drivers can upgrade to the EV6 GT-Line, or the range-topping GT-Line S. A fourth model, the GT, will be launched early next year.

Standard equipment includes a digital dashboard and infotainment screen, five USB-C charge points, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, LED lights, five driving modes, seven years of Kia Connect services, and over the air updates.

The EV6 also offers vehicle-to-load capability, so it can be used to power or charge other devices.

Standard features in the Air include 19-inch alloy wheels and a mix of cloth and artificial leather upholstery, along with driver assistance features.

Among additional features in the GT-Line are unique exterior styling, rear privacy glass, adaptive headlights, electric seat adjustment, wireless phone charging, upgraded steering wheel, and black artificial leather seats with white detailing.

GT-Line S drivers benefit from 20-inch alloy wheels, sunroof, heated rear seats, ventilated front artificial suede seats with white detailing, powered tailgate, three-pin power socket, premium sound system, head-up display, fingerprint recognition, and upgraded driver assistance features. A heat pump is also available as an optional extra.

The EV6 is offered to drivers in red as standard, with five other colours on offer, including Wolf Grey (pictured). The EV6 comes with a new 84kWh battery, powering a rear-wheel drive powertrain or the option of all-wheel drive in GT-Line and GT-Line S variants.

Kia plans to offer nine EVs in the UK by 2027 as it builds on last year’s record-breaking sales, when it surpassed 100,000 registrations for the second year running, with electrified models taking a 45% share of sales.

The updated Kia EV6 can now be ordered and leased through Gateway2Lease.
