All-electric Genesis GV70 updated for 2025

Premium and luxury are elusive factors. It’s the feel of a car that does it: the attention to detail, the finest quality materials, and the latest technology, all wrapped up in a sophisticated package. Which is exactly what Genesis has been offering since the brand launched in Europe in 2021, and exactly what it will be offering in 2025 in the shape of the redesigned and fully electric Genesis GV70.
Genesis - the luxury arm of Korean giant, Hyundai – already boasts a line-up that includes three dynamic pure electric models with the GV70 being the mid-range option.
First launched in 2022, the Genesis GV70 has now received its first update with the new model due to hit the road in the first half of 2025. Boasting elevated luxury and meticulous attention to detail, the latest Electrified GV70 features finer details than its predecessor, taking the brand’s design philosophy of “Athletic Elegance” to the next level.
At the front, the Electrified GV70 showcases a new Crest Grille with a G-Matrix pattern, accentuated by a bumper design that emphasises the width of the car. The Two-Line headlights now also incorporate Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology to improve lighting performance. At the rear, the indicators have been relocated from the bumpers to the combination lights, enhancing visibility for vehicles behind. The high-mounted stop light has also been refined and streamlined, and it now houses a built-in camera for the digital centre mirror.
The whole lot sits on either newly-designed 20-inch alloy wheels finished in dark matte grey, or the current 19-inch wheels that have been recoloured for a more sophisticated look. A new exterior colour option “Ceres Blue” available in both gloss or matte finish has also been added to the range.

Beauty of White Space interior
The interior of the redesigned Electrified GV70 embraces Genesis’ distinctive design principle of the “Beauty of White Space”. No, we’re not sure either, but if it means stylish, luxurious, and beautifully finished then we can’t really argue.
The 27-inch OLED display offers a user-friendly horizontal layout that integrates the instrument cluster and infotainment system, while the touch-based heating and air-cooling system ensures the ideal environment is always at your fingertips. Enhanced mood lighting stretches from the upper part of the door to the centre console to help create an ambience of pure elegance. There’s also a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system included for good measure.
To complement the new Ceres Blue exterior colour the new models also introduce a new “Icy Blue/Glacier White Two-Tone” interior option to the two existing interior upholstery choices.
It’s a little early to go into all the details of the new Genesis GV70, mainly because Genesis hasn’t announced them all yet so we really don’t know any more than we’ve already told you.
Suffice to say, when the updated Genesis GV70 does become available to lease it will be packed with finery, elegance, and the latest technology.
