The Brand New Ford Fiesta 2017 Model Revealed
Ford have revealed the all-new Ford Fiesta 2017 model line up at an exclusive event in Germany.
With the success of it's current model, which has been one of the best selling cars in the supermini sector for the past seven years, the all-new Ford Fiesta has a lot to live up to and it sure does not't disappoint.
Exterior changes on the eighth-generation Ford Fiesta are subtle and include a new front grille and elongated headlights that sweep back. Ford plan on making this new 2017 model more upmarket and have done this by improving the cars quality and technological offerings. On the inside, we see a new 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system as well as a panoramic roof. Overall the new Fiesta is slightly bigger than its predecessor.
From a safety perspective, new features on the 2017 model will include a new anti-collision system. This works by detecting objects in front of the car up to 130 meters away and will automatically brake to prevent a collision if the driver does not react. Other features include blind spot information, lane keeping assist and active park assist.
The 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine will be a popular choice but this time will be available with either 5 or 6-speed gearboxes. The diesel engines have been refined which will include a high power TDCi engine with improvements being made to the performance, torque and efficiency.
Four variants from the line up have been revealed so far - the Titanium, the Vignale, the ST-Line and the Active crossover. The new Active and Vignale models are hoping to gain a bigger share of the car market by appealing to more people.
2017 Ford Fiesta ST-Line
The Fiesta ST-Line which like the previous model will be sporty with its exterior styling and unique alloy wheels, grille and bumper. The suspension will be lowered by 10mm. See our images below.
2017 Ford Fiesta Active
The all-new Active Fiesta model will have raised suspension by 18mm, roof bars and additional cladding around the wheel arches. See our image below.
2017 Ford Fiesta Vignale
The Fiesta Vignale will include 18 inch alloy wheels, exclusive detailing and colours with tuxedo-stitched leather seats. See our images below.
The new Fiesta is expected to go on sale during the first half of 2017. We will bring you more information and updates as they are announced by Ford.
